Trainer Trent Edmonds has set his sights on valuable Black Type for exciting filly EXTRAGALACTIC after she produced a stunning performance to make it back-to-back victories in Melbourne.
The 3yo Deep Field filly - who was the trainer's first yearling purchase - continued her impressive campaign with a powerful win at Caulfield, showcasing a brilliant turn of foot that has connections daring to aim higher.
She has now recorded three wins and a second from her five career starts.

Settling back in the field Extragalactic travelled sweetly throughout before jockey Luke Cartwright angled her into clear running. From there, the three-year-old unleashed a devastating surge down the outside, charging over the top of her rivals to score by a length.
Edmonds confirmed the filly is now on a path towards stakes company, with the Group 3 Tobin Bronze Stakes in Adelaide looming as a key target.
"She was the first horse I purchased when going out on my own so it's fantastic she's now a Saturday winner. It's a huge thrill for some lovely people," said Edmonds.
“She still spotted them a bit of a start, but let down beautifully with the light weight.
“I’ve always had the Tobin Bronze in mind in three weeks’ time. It looks the right race to try and secure some Black Type.”
